Overview
The method comprises the following steps of: adopting a calcium carbide acetylene method production process and a fixed bed synthesis reactor to produce vinyl acetate; adopting vinyl acetate as a raw material, methanol as a solvent, azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator, adopting a free radical solution polymerization mode, and adopting an anhydrous low-alkali belt alcoholysis mode to produce polyvinyl alcohol; and carrying out crushing, pressing, drying, packaging and the like to obtain the product.

Physical properties:
- Solubility: Polyvinyl alcohol powder can be dissolved in water. Polyvinyl alcohol resin (PVA) with a degree of alcoholysis of less than 95% can be dissolved in water at room temperature, and polyvinyl alcohol resin (PVA) with a degree of alcoholysis of greater than 99.5% can only be dissolved in hot water above 95℃.
- Thermal stability: Polyvinyl alcohol will soften when heated, there is no obvious change below 40℃, above 160℃, it will gradually color when heated for a long time, and decompose above 220℃ to generate water, acetic acid, acetaldehyde and crotonaldehyde.
- Chemical resistance: PVA is hardly affected by weak acid, weak base or organic solvent, and its oil resistance is very high.
- Storage stability: PVA is a low viscosity polymer, its aqueous solution is very stable at room temperature. Aqueous solutions do not deteriorate during storage.
- Film forming: Due to the high adhesion between PVA molecules, PVA is easy to form films, the film formed is colorless and transparent, has good mechanical strength, smooth surface and non-sticky, good solubility resistance. Molecular film has good light transmittance, high moisture permeability, no charge, no dust collection and good printability.
Chemical property:
PVA can be regarded as a linear polymer with secondary hydroxyl groups. The hydroxyl group in the molecule has high activity and can carry out typical chemical reactions of low alcohols, such as esterification, etherification, acetalization, etc., and can also react with many inorganic compounds or organic compounds.

Storage
Store in a dry, well-ventilated room at room temperature 5-30℃. Do not approach heat sources, prevent humidity, avoid sun exposure. It is forbidden to store together with volatile chemicals to prevent adsorption deterioration.
Packing Mark
PVA product packaging should have clear and firm marks indicating product name, model, grade, batch number, net weight, manufacturer name and address.
Transportation
PVA products should be transported with clean covered transportation vehicles to prevent moisture, rain and sun. Handle them gently to prevent scratching or breaking the package.
